About Travel and Cannabis

“I don’t know what I want to be when I, “grow up” but I know it has something to do with cannabis!” ~M. Jay of Travel and Cannabis

Hi! I’m Maggie Jay (everyone calls me M. Jay) and I am the writer and photographer behind Travel and Cannabis. I have always had a case of wanderlust and an attraction to researching and understanding the contrasting strains of the cannabis plant. But, I really started chronicling my cannabis travels just a few years ago.

These years have been filled with amazing adventures from the weed-laden beaches of Kingston, Jamaica to the ski slopes of Utah. They included my first cannabis infused dinners and tours, 4 different cannabis cups/festivals, a trip to the Liberty Bell and, the biggest adventure, a move to a legal state.

I have traveled to both legal, and illegal states in the U.S. and have been lucky enough not to endure much trouble (I’ve had one knock at the door while in a Marriott in San Bernardino, but did not incur a fine, whew!)

People often ask how I get away with consuming cannabis on vacation. One of the biggest things I do is to ASK! Sometimes the answer will surprise you.

If you’d rather not ask or would just like to live vicariously through me, my love of sharing all of the best (and sometimes not the best) places to go and things to do in cannabis friendly (or tolerant) places is endless.

My unique cannabis friendliness hotel and bed and breakfast reviews are informative and fun. Check one of them out here! I also review private and public cannabis tours, restaurants and cannabis-centric events. Join me on INSTAGRAM for a daily dose of cannabis themed activities and travel tips. If you’re not into social media, you can often find me in Culture Magazine and The Hemp Connoisseur. Or, Email Me for more information on my coffee table book.

All the love and support I get from all of you guys is ahh-some! Without your comments and love, along with the ability to meet some of you, my travels would be a lot less exciting. I hope you all keep reaching out to meet when I am nearby. I would love to hang out with each and every one of you in my journeys across the world.

ATN_6909I encourage all of you to experience the culture of cannabis and to learn as much as you can about marijuana and its wonderful benefits! For those who are not yet pot savvy, please feel free to ask me ANYTHING. After all…

“Wisdom is not a product of schooling, but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.” ~Albert Einstein

Much love, Cannatravelers. As always, consume responsibly!

Best,

M. Jay
