So, my birthday was a few weeks ago and I really wanted to celebrate with my new Denver folks. I got in touch with Johnny from Polos and Pelicans and we set up an infused dinner for 13 at my new place.
There were a few bumps in the road along the way, like the furniture (and tons of boxes) didn’t arrive to the new place until the day before the party. And my exact replica of the Cheech and Chong joint was not a major success. But, all in all this dinner was a pretty smooth ride.
I loved that everyone came dressed to impress and ready to get their smoke on! Wines were paired with the courses and plenty of flower, edibles and dabs circled the table, including a 14 gram pre-roll from one guest!
The menu looked like this:
Baked Brie w/ Blackberry Compote
Lime Ginger Gelèe
Beef Shanks w/ White Truffle Risotto
Chocolate Cheese Cake w/ Salted Caramel Sauce
We dined and laughed and talked cannabis throughout the evening, while enjoying a fabulous dinner and top notch products from across the Denver area. Not all of the guests were cannabis consumers and so Polos and Pelicans incorporated the cannabis infusion with pour it yourself sauces.
The event was a hit. I am tired and happy today. Thank you again, my friends, for coming out to help me celebrate. I had a blast. And thank you to Johnny of Polos and Pelicans and to our chef, Royce. You guys did a bang up job. So much so, I don’t think I can wait a whole year to do it again!
